clothing and style

Prior to Shiemi attending the Exorcist cram school, she dressed exclusively in traditional Japanese clothing. She favors kimonos in pastel colors with floral (or butterfly) prints, and often pairs it with a haori, again in pastel colors with a nature-related (or checked) print. Once during a PE class she wore a yukata and hakama as she had no other clothes suitable for exercise. For footwear, she'll usually wear tabi socks and zori, but sometimes will wear a pair of Mary Janes. Shiemi still likes to wear Japanese clothing as she finds it familiar and comfortable.

Shiemi was issued the standard school uniform when she became an Esquire and therefore required to go on missions. The uniform consists of a white button-up collared blouse (of which there are short sleeved and long sleeved options), pink pleated mini-skirt with a black belt, a black neckscarf with red and white stripes, and a cream-colored blazer with a pink sailor collar (Shiemi rarely wore the blazer). Students were allowed to wear what shoes and socks they desired as long as it adhered to the dress code. Shiemi wore thigh-high white stocks and black Mary Janes (1), though when on more physical missions she wore the same calf-high lace-up black boots the other students wore.

No matter whether Japanese or Western clothing, Shiemi always wears something in her hair. When in school uniform, it is often a pink and white ribbon if she needs to tie her hair back. She'll sometimes pair this with a flower clip above her ear. Headbands are also an option.

While on the Thor, Shiemi hasn't expanded her wardrobe very much, due to lack of knowledge about Western fashion. She's aquired two formal dresses (1|2) for parties on board, both of which tend to lean toward lolita fashion. She also near constantly wears a silver flower bracelet set with green gems that was made for her by Lloyd (1).
